This course takes students on an intriguing journey through the vast world of alcoholic beverages. It is a comprehensive yet concise study that explores the essential management and service aspect, providing the knowledge necessary for building and sustaining a profitable beverage program.

Program Overview

Food & Beverage (F&B) Management is a segment of the hospitality industry that focuses on operations in restaurants, hotels, resorts, catering companies, hospitals, hotels, and more. It includes the business side of food, like ordering and inventory, managing budgets, and planning and costing menus.

It also includes Human Resources functions, like hiring, training, and managing both front-of-house and back-of-house staff. On the customer side, these managers will focus on improving the guest experience with a focus on building loyalty and maintaining high service standards.

​

The qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide food and beverage service to guests in various food and beverage service facilities.

​

A person who has achieved this qualification and awarded National Certificate (NC) is competent to be employed as Waitstaff or Food and Beverage Service Attendant.

Course Duration

108 Hours (18 Sessions) + 300 Hours Internship ( Local or International)

BASIC COMPETENCIES

  • Participate in workplace communication

  • Practice career professionalism

  • Practice occupational health and safety procedures

COMMON COMPETENCIES

  • Develop and update industry knowledge

  • Observe workplace hygiene procedures

  • Perform computer operations

  • Provide effective customer service

​

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Prepare the dining room/restaurant area for service

  • Welcome guests and take food and beverage orders

  • Promote food and beverage products

  • Provide food and beverage services to guests

  • Provide room service

  • Receive and handle guest concerns

Internship Opportunities

With this program, you’re eligible to gain international experience in any of these countries: Southeast Asian Countries or Poland

​

Pathway Opportunities

Students who will graduate in this course are eligible for a Pathway Program at HRC Culinary Academy in Bulgaria (6 months) + 6-12 months Free Internship in USA
